Miramar, FL— August 25, 2015— Granite Transformations is pleased to announce Greg Brown as one of their “2014 Franchisee of the Year” winners for his outstanding customer service and stellar performance in mastering the Granite Transformations franchise process, including sales and marketing, manufacturing, fabrication and overall operations.
Brown owns two showrooms that are 375 miles apart across three franchise territories – Calgary, Alberta and Kelowna, British Columbia. As if that doesn’t keep him busy enough, he also holds the position as Vice President of the GT Franchise Advisory Council (FAC). He credits his extensive corporate experience as the backbone of his outstanding leadership qualities, strong customer service ethic and willingness to spend time on the road.

Years ago, Brown was intrigued when he saw a countertop neatly installed over a laminate surface. “I literally did a double take,” said Brown. “I knew about ordinary granite slab, but this material was engineered to be really thin. I liked the concept and filed it away for future reference.” This first encounter with the GT brand carved a path for his success as a GT franchisee.
Brown says that kitchen countertops are by far his top sellers across all three franchise territories, with typical installation ranging from 60-80 square feet. The top selling countertop color across the franchise network is Royal Ivory, which has taken the lead over the once popular Terra Di Sienna. He explains how mosaic features have yet to make their mark in Canada; however, Brown says he’s working with his team to introduce it to his customers by weaving into backsplash designs and walk-in showers to “juice up the look.”

As he looks to the future, Brown has his sights set on a new 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Calgary, and he believes the broader Trend collection is the pathway to increased revenue. His love for travel keeps him busy with his active role in the FAC. He says he enjoys the networking opportunities with other franchise owners in North America and helping his colleagues along the way.
